The Cellar Bar is the hotel’s 3,000 square foot, gothic, cavernous lounge, conveniently located one level above the screening room and right off the hotel lobby. The interior’s all about swanky minimalism, with low leather couches, a marble bar, and candles everywhere—it’s almost medieval chic. The best part is that it’s dim and private, and nobody will bother you. Take a date here and be sure to order one of the cocktails with fresh fruit purée. The scene is part fashionista and part corporate, with a sprinkling of random hotel guests from upstairs. The DJ throws an eclectic party—depending on the night, you’ll hear house, hip-hop, or 80s rock. Saturdays draw the biggest and youngest crowd, so expect to wait on line at the door and stand at the bar for the whole night unless you’re splurging for bottle service. With a capacity of up to 300 people standing or 125 seated, it is the ideal location to host a private event, cocktail reception or fashion show.
